Our story
Built in Bangalore, for the everyday
Lagu Research Labs Pvt Ltd was founded in 2025 with a clear idea: technology should quietly remove friction from daily life, not add to it. From our base in Bangalore, India, we set out to build a portfolio of focused, well-crafted products — each solving one real problem well.
Today we build three products. Lagu Events brings event planning into one place, connecting people with verified venues and vendors. Lagu SMS tames a noisy text inbox by automatically sorting the messages that matter. Lagu Chitra turns a handful of photos into a collage without an account, an upload, or a watermark.
We’re just getting started — and everything we build is guided by the same belief in craftsmanship, privacy, and respect for the people who use our products.
The name
Why we named our company “LAGU”
LAGU (लघु) comes from Sanskrit, meaning light, simple, quick, and easy. In a world where software often becomes bloated and overcomplicated, we chose this name as our north star.
